Responsibilities:

• Work in an agile Kanban team.
• Plan, design, and implement software applications, components, and interfaces.
• Perform pair programming and pull request reviews.
• Mentor more junior backend developers.

Competences:

• 3 years of experience with Scala backend development outside of the Play framework.
• Experience from Slick and/or http4s libraries.
• Very good understanding of web applications and RESTful microservice/web service development.
• Experience with Elastic Search preferred.
• Strong knowledge of SQL databases (PostgreSQL in use).
• Able to use Linux command line.
• In-depth experience with the software development lifecycle and working in Agile teams.
• In-depth experience with code repositories such as Git, including branching and merging flows.
• Fluent in both verbal and written English.
• Teamwork and customer communication skills.
• Strong analytic and problem-solving skills.
• Understanding of React, TypeScript, and CSS is an advantage.
